The first time I entered this bar, I was transported back to the memory of my first time in New York. I felt completely consumed by the senses that this space expands in the visitor. The magnitude of light fighting against a dark and mysterious atmosphere draws the eye to every corner. The way the place comes to life as the hours pass and is consumed by the night.

La primera vez que entré a este bar, me devolví al recuerdo de la primera vez que fui a Nueva York. Me sentí completamente consumida por los sentidos que este espacio expande en el usuario. La magnitud de luz que lucha contra un ambiente oscuro y misterioso atrae la mirada a cada rincón. La forma en la cual el lugar va adquiriendo vida con el paso de las horas y se consume por la noche.

The place is inspired by jazz, specifically those bars from the 1950s, where everything was hidden and clandestine. The owners of the place dream of bringing back this music genre with more strength, offering the audience a complete gastro-auditory experience. It is a distinctive space in the demanding gastronomic capital of Colombia.

El lugar está inspirado en el jazz, específicamente en esos bares de los años 50, donde todo era escondido y clandestino. Los dueños del lugar sueñan con traer de vuelta y con más fuerza este género de música, ofreciendo al espectador una experiencia gastro-auditiva completa. Es un espacio diferenciador en la demandante capital gastronómica de Colombia.

The materiality that envelops the space is very special as it achieves a balance between contrasts. Light and shadow vie for prominence in every corner of the bar. The lightness of the glass plays with the strength of the concrete, and the wood subtly combines with the stone. The play of colors is very special, proposing a clean and mysterious scene where red breaks through the darkness.

La materialidad que envuelve el espacio es muy especial ya que logra un balance entre contrastes. La luz y la sombra luchan por el protagonismo en cada rincón del bar. La ligereza del vidrio juega con la fuerza del concreto y la madera combina sutilmente con la piedra. El juego de colores es muy especial, ya que se propone una escena limpia y misteriosa donde el rojo rompe con la oscuridad..

The bathroom is one of the most special spaces in the project as it evokes light within darkness. The contrast of metals and light brings a lot of warmth to a transitory space.

El baño es uno de los espacios más especiales del proyecto, pues evoca la luz dentro de la oscuridad. El contraste de metales y luz da mucha calidez a un espacio transitorio.
